I have been diagnosed with Depression and OCD. Currently I am taking Fluoxetine 40 mg once a day. My Depression and OCD is almost remission but I feel always drowsy in the day. I sleep almost 9 hours but I don't feel refreshed in the morning and whole day. I suffer from headache, gastrointestinal distress, drowsy in the day but cannot feel sleepy at night. I sleep at night 12 am and wake up in 9

Dr.   Vinay Bansal
You can try exercise, or yoga, and try to talk and find permanent solution for your depression, as medication is only a temporary solution. the medication is making you feel drowsy, so we suggest you consult a psychiatrist.

Can I drink alcohol if I am taking antidepressants?

Dr.   Hemangee Dhavale
Drinking alcohol while taking antidepressants is generally not advised because alcohol can make depression worse. It can also increase the side effects of some antidepressants, such as drowsiness, dizziness and co-ordination problems.
