Dear doc, This started after I had food poisoning twice in last 2 months with fever. I had taken norflox course. &#rl&#nlAs advised by doc last week, I took 5 days course of rifagut, econorm, pan d. My symptoms have improved by not fully cured. I am still suffering from- tender stomach, semi loose stool, pain and weakness in joints- increases after passing stool, increased gas, Sudden urges

Dr.   Vishwas Thakur
We suggest you take care of your diet. Consume lots of bananas, yogurt, apples, white rice and avoid any spicy, oily foods which might be the reason for your current symptoms. A good diet will help improve your bowel movements and get rid of your weakness. You can also consume glucose powder mixed in water for more energy.

I am having the problem of Ulcerative colitis from last 4 years. I have married 14 months ago,now i want to conceive a baby. I am taking the medicine-Sulfasalazine,Azoran50,folk acid and sometime SatrogylO when I feel blood in my stool.I feel ok without the medicines around of 2 months and after that I have to take again. Please tell, can I conceive baby easily, is any medicine harming my fertility?

Dr.   Omni.Care Doctor
This medicine can harm your fertility and pregnancy. Consult a obstetrician specialist and then start to try for pregnancy. Talk to your doctor who is treating your ulcerative colitis if he is fine then go ahead. Talk to him to reduce the drugs if possible.

Three days ago I swallowed supari. I very forcefully tried to vomit by inserting a finger in the mouth. there was no vomit, only some spit and little brown kind of thing(not sure if blood or supari). I keep feeling a little uneasy/pain in the cervical esophagus. I feel like this area has been bruised . I had one zincovit today. I fear that I might have had a tear/ rupture of the esophagus.

Dr.   Omni.Care Doctor
A tear in esophagus has prominent symptoms, like difficulty in breathing or severe chest pain on breathing, pain in esophagus, back pain, difficulty in swallowing. If you are experiencing extreme pain or any of these symptoms, we suggest you to book an appointment with us.

I am on a high fats and protein diet bcz i joined gym and been suffering from constipation, flatulence & Malabsorption from past 1-2 month ,so i decided to go for a stool test for the root cause of this chronic problem , i want to know which kind of stool test will be suitable for my problem .

Dr.   Sonia Gandhi
Your constipation is because too much fluid is absorbed in your intestines. Fatty foods delay stomach emptying, leading to flatulence. The common signs of malabsorption are constipation, diarrhea, gas, abdominal discomfort and pain the body is not absorbing vital nutrients. Get a quantitative fecal fat test done if advised by your dietician. Dr. Sonia Gandhi, Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, Chandigarh

Sir I am 21 years old male .I have acidity and stomach pain for 3 week so I consult ayurveda doctor last 1 week but there is no effect .what I should do plz suggest me some medicine

Dr.   Ravinder Goyal
OTC medications work well only for short-term relief of minor discomfort. If you use an OTC medication more than twice a week or if your symptoms do not improve with treatment call your doctor who can develop a treatment plan which will work for you.
